DAVIDSON, N.C. – Kyle Lindquist has joined the Davidson baseball program as a volunteer assistant, head coach Rucker Taylor recently announced.
"Kyle has already made a positive impact in his short time on campus," said Taylor.
Lindquist joins the Wildcat program after serving as an assistant coach at Denison University (2014-18). Prior to his five-year stint in Granville, Ohio, Lindquist was on staff at his alma mater, Marietta College.
As a pitcher for the Pioneers, Lindquist was a three-time All-OAC (Ohio Athletic Conference) selection and 2012 All-American, while leading Marietta to back-to-back National Championships (2011 & 2012).
Following his collegiate career, Lindquist played a pair of seasons of Independent pro ball in the Frontier League.
"He had a tremendous collegiate career, has been a part of two highly successful programs as a coach, and has had some great mentors along the way," Taylor said.
"He has brought some of those influences to us already. Kyle has an incredible passion for the game of baseball and his passion shines through in his genuine energy for coaching. He is the perfect addition to our staff and program. He will have his hands on all aspects of our program."
