Mitchell Named A-10 MXC Rookie of the Week

NEWPORT NEW, Va. – Davidson men's cross country freshman Coleman Mitchell was named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, announced by the league Tuesday.
Mitchell led the Wildcats across the line in the first meet of the year at the Spider Alumni Opener, placing fifth overall with a 5k time of 15:31.7. The Durham, N.C., native helped Davidson place third overall as a team.
Now-sophomore Jake Carver was the last to be named an A-10 Rookie of the Week when he garnered the recognition on Oct. 17, 2017.
The Wildcats return to the trails Friday, Sep. 14 at the ADIDAS XC Challenge hosted by North Carolina State University in Raleigh.
