LOUISVILLE – Davidson senior Dylan Carmack paced the men's cross country team at the Louisville Cross Country Classic Saturday morning at E.P. "Tom Sawyer" State Park.
Carmack toed the line for the first time this season, stopping the clock over the 8k course in 25:08.4. The Chattanooga, Tenn., native placed 62nd out of over 250 competitors.
Wildcat freshman Trent Turbyfill also broke 26 minutes in his first collegiate 8k, crossing the line in 25:31.7. Sophomore Jake Carver and freshman Alex Ackerman rounded out four 'Cats in the race.
Davidson returns to the trails Friday, October 12 at the Royals Cross Country Challenge.
