Dugger Named to Preseason All-PFL Team

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Davidson sophomore running back Wesley Dugger was named to the Preseason All-Pioneer League Football team, announced Monday.
A 2017 All-PFL first team selection, Dugger returns as the squads leading rusher after racking up 1131 yards on 228 carries and 8 touchdowns in his breakout debut season for the Wildcats. He was a finalist for the Jerry Rice Award last season awarded to the best freshman in the NCAA FCS.
A recipient of the Craig Family Scholarship, Dugger is the first Wildcat to land on the Preseason All-PFL team since Conrad Mueller '17 made the list prior to his junior campaign in 2016.
Davidson begins camp on Saturday, Aug. 4 and kicks off head coach Scott Abell's first season on the sidelines Saturday, Sept. 1 against Brevard at 7 p.m. at Richardson Stadium. Single game tickets for the seven-game 2018 schedule are available here.
