Davidson Athletics Exceeds 2017-18 Fundraising Goal

DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Davidson Athletic Fund (DAF) is pleased to announce that with the generous support of more than 2,400 donors, the DAF greatly exceeded its fundraising goal for the 2017-18 fiscal year.
July affords the DAF the ability to report on their efforts to generate support for Davidson's 21 varsity teams, and due to the generous investment of over 2,400 incredible alumni, donors, parents and friends, Davidson Athletics finished with a new cash record of over $3.6 million in current-use funds.
Additionally, nearly $8 million was raised in new athletic scholarship commitments and pledges – another single-year record.
Finally, when tallying up various capital projects, multi-year commitments, and planned giving commitments, the DAF is pleased to report that a grand total of $10.7 million was committed in support of Davidson athletics during the 2017-18 academic year.
"I am thrilled with the news of the incredible support shown from our alumni, parents and friends during 2017-18," said Director of Athletics Chris Clunie. "I am also excited to enter the final year of Davidson's capital campaign with such strong momentum, knowing that our athletic program will continue to reward the investment."
