Yarbrough Earns Google Cloud Academic All-District® Honors

DAVIDSON, N.C. – Davidson women's track and field and cross country junior Caroline Yarbrough was named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District® team, announced by the organization Tuesday.
Yarbrough, who majors in art history with a minor in history, was one of 10 women's track and field and cross country student-athletes voted to the All-District 3 first team by members of CoSIDA. District 3 covers Division I institutions in North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. First team honorees automatically advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® ballot with the team to be released in June.
The Greensboro, N.C., native registered a dominant season on the track and in the trails, earning Atlantic 10 All-Conference honors on five occasions. Yarbrough reset the school record in the 5,000-meter run at the Raleigh Relays, stopping the clock in 16:20.70, and for her efforts earned an entry into the NCAA East Region Preliminary Round.
Yarbrough has made the Atlantic 10 All-Academic team five times in her career and will likely be named to the 2018 outdoor team, to be released later this week. She earned Phi Alpha Theta National Honor Society and Omicron Delta Kappa National Society recognition and was a recipient of the Davidson Study Abroad at Cambridge University Lester Scholarship. She also serves as Co-Editor of the Davidson History Journal.
