Caveney Competes at the NCAA East Preliminary Round

TAMPA, Fla. – Men's track and field junior Sean Caveney concluded a second consecutive trip to the NCAA East Preliminary Round Thursday afternoon at USF Track & Field Stadium on the campus of the University of South Florida.
Caveney, the Atlantic 10 champion in the 400-meter hurdles, placed sixth in the first heat of the day, stopping the clock in 52.64 seconds. The Andover, Mass., native ended up in the postseason with a qualifying run of 52.25 seconds, a new program record, set at the Duke Invitational.
Davidson junior Dylan Carmack will compete for the 'Cats in the 5k Saturday, May 26 at approximately 8:05 p.m.
