RALEIGH, N.C. – Highlighted by a four-under 32 on his inward nine, junior Jack Lang fired a 69 to lead Davidson on day two of the 2018 NCAA Men's Golf Raleigh Regional Tuesday at Lonnie Poole Golf Course.
The NCAA Division I Men's Golf Regional is a preliminary round of the NCAA Division I Men's Championship. Each Regional will consist of a 54-hole tournament with 13 or 14 teams and 10 individual players. The low five teams and low individual not included on those five teams will advance to the NCAA Championship that runs May 25-30 at Karsten Creek Golf Club in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
After opening with a 78 and making the turn in 37, Lang birdied the 10th hole before playing his closing stretch in four-under, including an eagle on the Par 5 15th.
Alex Ross, who began the day in a tie for sixth on the individual leaderboard, is still the top Wildcat competitor, as the 2018 Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year sits tied for 30th at one-under 141 (67-74).
13th Davidson – 296-294 = 590
