DAVIDSON, N.C. — Davidson women's soccer assistant coach Stephanie Demake has accepted the position of head women's soccer coach at Post University in Waterbury, Conn. Post in a member of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference.
"I am very happy for Stephanie and the opportunity she has at Post University," said Davidson's head coach Adam Denton. "Stephanie is an experienced assistant coach, and over her short time here at Davidson she had a positive impact with our players and added to the continued growth within our program. I know she is ready and excited about the opportunity at Post and I feel that Stephanie will do very well in her new position as the Eagles' head coach."
Demake came to Davidson in February of 2017 after a three-year stay at Troy University as the women's soccer assistant.
"It is bittersweet to move on from Davidson as I have immensely enjoyed my experience working with such an impressive caliber of student-athlete in such a strong community," said Demake. "Ultimately, the opportunity to further my professional career and transition to a head coaching role while also moving closer to family was one that I could not turn down. I am grateful to coach Denton for providing me with the opportunity to collaborate in an effort to propel Davidson women's soccer toward greater levels of success. I look forward to watching their continued success, both as athletes and scholars, and will remain a Wildcat fan!"
