Blasey and Wildcats Lead Atlantic 10 Golf Championship

ORLANDO, Fla. – In addition to Mike Blasey (E) grabbing the top spot on the individual leaderboard, Davidson carded a tournament-low 294 and will enter the final round of the 2018 Atlantic 10 Men's Golf Championship with an eight stroke advantage.
The three-day/54-hole event is being played on the Par 72, 7,024-yard Villas of Grand Cypress layout.
After opening with a 74, Blasey fired Saturday's lowest individual score, a two-under 70, thanks to a 33 on his inward nine. The junior leads the 55-player field by one shot over Rhode Island's Brody King (+1).
Davidson (300-294 = 594 |+18), which began the day tied with preseason favorite Dayton (300-302 = 602 | +26) atop the leaderboard, was four-under after five holes before the Flyers took a one-shot advantage at the turn.
In search of their first conference title in 50 years, the Wildcats played the closing stretch in four-over, while Dayton was +10 on holes 14-18.
Rhode Island (+29) is third in the team standings ahead of VCU (+36) and Richmond (+37).
Davidson will be paired with Dayton and Rhode Island in Sunday's final round with tee times beginning at 8:15 a.m.
