Football Announces 2018 Schedule

DAVIDSON, N.C. – Head football coach Scott Abell released the 2018 schedule ahead of his first season on the sidelines, announced Thursday. The slate features a heavy dose of home action with seven games to be played at Richardson Stadium. The schedule is tentative and subject to change.
The Wildcats first three contests will be in front of the home crowd against non-conference opponents. For the second consecutive year, Brevard (9/1) and Guilford (9/15) visit, book-ending Chowan's first ever trip to Stephen B. Smith Field on Sep. 8.
Davidson ends September with the start of the Pioneer Football League slate on the road at Dayton (9/22) and at Valparaiso (9/29).
The 'Cats host three games in October including a two-game homestand against Jacksonville (10/6) and Morehead State (10/13) and end the month with Stetson (10/27). Davidson's lone road tilt is a trip north to Marist (10/20).
The open week comes on Nov. 3 before a trip west to San Diego (11/10). Senior Day is scheduled for Nov. 17 against Butler.
