
Sears Lands A-10 Co-Performer of the Week Honors

NEWPORT NEW, Va. – Davidson senior Sarah Sears was named an Atlantic 10 Women's Track and Field Co-Performer of the Week, announced by the league Tuesday.
For the second consecutive week, Sears broke the school's 3,000-meter record, stopping the clock in 9:20.92 as an invited competitor in the Camel City Classic Elite 3k at JDL Fast Track Saturday. Sears bested her previous program mark by almost 13 seconds and her converted time of 9:16.16 ranks 23rd in the nation.
For the Arlington, Va., native, this marks the second Performer of the Week nod during the indoor track season and fourth overall this year including the cross country campaign.
The Wildcats return to action Thursday, Feb. 8 at the JDL Team Challenge hosted by JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C.
