
Kalsu Named A-10 Men's T&F Rookie of the Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. –Davidson freshman Bryce Kalsu was tabbed the first Atlantic 10 Men's Rookie of the Week of the 2018-19 indoor season, announced by the league office Tuesday.
Kalsu opened his collegiate indoor career with a win in the 800-meter run at the JDL Early Bird Duals. The Austin, Texas, native won the first heat with a time of 1:56.22 and held on for the overall victory.
Although it was the first chance for a Wildcat to earn Rookie of the Week accolades for the indoor season, Kalsu joins a pair of classmates, Coleman Mitchell and Trent Turbyfill, who were each named Rookie of the Week winners during the cross country season.
Davidson will not return to the track until after the break when they head to the Wake Forest Invite on Saturday, Jan. 19 at JDL Fast Track.
