DAVIDSON, N.C. – Davidson women's soccer head coach Adam Denton announced today his third recruiting class with the addition of 10 incoming freshmen for this coming Fall season in 2019.
"The staff and current players are all really looking forward to the arrival of the 2023 class to Davidson College family," said Head Coach Adam Denton. "This is a large recruiting class and this group will bring more depth and positional versatility to our team. Along with our current players, each of our 2019 players will bring an individual quality but more importantly share the inner drive for success at the A-10 level. Most importantly, they are a wonderful group of people that will continue to add to our great current group of student athletes. As student-athletes, this group, along with our current players, will embrace the responsibility of representing Davidson not only on the field, but also in the classroom.
The Wildcats will welcome to the class of 2023: Sophia Caruso (Pasadena, Calif.), McRae Calhoun (Raleigh, N.C.), Rachel Schleicher (Charlotte, N.C.), Abby Jeannault (Ellicott City, Md.), Hannah Casey (Marietta, Ga.), Cecie Bassett (Atlanta, Ga.), Remi White (Rye, N.Y.), Hailey Braemer (Nashville, Tenn.), Keeley Copper (West End, N.C.) and Grace Voss (Downingtown, Pa.).

Primary Position: Midfielder
Hometown: Pasadena, Calif.

Coach Denton: "Sophia is a versatile central midfielder that is comfortable playing in tight spaces, and has the ability to distribute as well. Her versatility allows her to be able to play deeper in the midfield in front of the back four, as well as, higher up the field in a more attacking role. Her vision and creativity will add another layer to our team."
