DAVIDSON, N.C. — The 2018 regular season will come to an end for the Davidson women's soccer team on Sunday when they play host to Richmond at Alumni Stadium in Atlantic 10 play.

Davidson (2-12-1, 0-7-1 A-10), entering its 30th year of women's soccer, will welcome the Richmond Spiders (1-14-1, 1-6-1 A-10) to Alumni Stadium this Sunday, Oct. 21 for a 1 p.m. contest. Prior to hosting the Spiders Sunday, the Wildcats will play at George Washington Thursday afternoon to close out their road schedule.
Pink Game Sunday
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month for the month of October, Davidson will be taking part in supporting BCAM by wearing pink warmups. Fans are encouraged to wear pink as well for the game and Davidson's Connor House will be doing a baked sale with all proceeds going toward the Bosom Buddy Foundation.
The All-Time Series/Last Meetings ...
The game vs. Richmond will be the seventh meeting all-time between both schools. The Wildcats trail 0-4-2 in the series, which dates back to 1997. The last meeting occurred a year ago at Richmond where the 'Cats and Spiders played to a scoreless draw to close out the season.
A-10 Preseason ...
The Atlantic 10 preseason poll came out earlier this week and the Saint Louis Billikens were chosen as the Atlantic 10 Conference preseason favorite in a vote conducted by the league's 14 head coaches. The league's head coaches also voted for an 11-member preseason all-conference team.
The Billikens (15-3-2, 7-2-1 A-10 last year) earned 192 votes and ten first-place tallies to take the top spot in the rankings. La Salle ranked second in the predicted order of finish with 184 points and four first-place votes, followed by Duquesne and George Mason, who each tallied 145 votes to round out the top four spots. Davidson received 36 votes and was tied with St. Bonaventure for 12th place.
Previous Game For the Wildcats, Oct. 14 ...
The Wildcats' Alexis Pheng scored her third goal of the year on a header to help Davidson earn a 1-1 draw last Sunday afternoon against Duquesne. Neither team scored until late when Duquesne's Hannah Nguyen netted her second goal of the season in the 75th minute. Down 1-0 with just under two minutes to play, Pheng headed in the equalizer at the 88:50 mark off an assist from Cameron France.
Scouting the Wildcats ...
•Michele Manceaux and Alexis Pheng pace the team with three goals each, while Cameron France has two goals and two assists.
•Gretchen Pearson has a goal and an assist, while Perry Zollicoffer has a career-high three assists.
•France has a team-high 25 shots and Michele Manceaux has put 13 shots on goal.
•Mary Grace Bunch (3 starts) and Sarah L'Hommedieu (12) have each saw time between the pipes. Bunch has 15 saves, while L'Hommedieu has 49, including a career-high 13 at Saint Louis.
•Davidson is 1-7 at home this year, scoring a 3-2 overtime win against USC Upstate, Aug. 20.
•The Wildcats are averaging 9.5 shots per game and have 50 corner kicks.
•This is Davidson's fifth year in the A-10 after a 20-year run in the Southern Conference.
