Turbyfill Tabbed A-10 Rookie of the Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Davidson men's cross country freshman Trent Turbyfill was tabbed the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, announced by the league Tuesday.
Turbyfill led the Wildcats at the Royals XC Challenge, completing his first collegiate 8k in 24:43 to place 22nd overall out of the 396-competitor field at nearby McAlpine Park. Turbyfill helped lead the team to a sixth place result out of 43 scoring squads.
The Orlando, Fla., native is the second Wildcat to earn A-10 Rookie of the Week recognition this season. Classmate Coleman Mitchell took home the honors in the Sep. 4 report.
Davidson next toes the line at the Atlantic 10 Championship on Saturday, Oct. 27 in Mechanicsville, Va.
