DAVIDSON, N.C. – For the second consecutive week, Davidson men's track and field nabbed the Atlantic 10 Men's Track and Field Rookie of the Week, announced by the league Tuesday.
Freshman sprinter Nick Peeples helped set a pair of program records en route to his first Rookie of the Week honor, a week after classmate Miles Hollimon took home the distinction.
Peeples broke the indoor 200-meter record Saturday at the BU John Thomas Terrier Classic, becoming the first 'Cat under 22 seconds (21.94). He also teamed up with Hollimon, Sean Caveney and George Williams to break the 4x400-meter relay record (3:17.29).
Peeples and Hollimon, along with Dan Alvarez's Dec. 4 Rookie of the Week nod, make three for Davidson in as many chances.
Davidson returns to the track Friday, Feb. 2 on day one of the Camel City Classic hosted at JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C.
