Sears Tabbed A-10 Track Performer of the Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Davidson senior Sarah Sears was named the Atlantic 10 Women's Track Performer of the Week, announced by the league office Tuesday.
Sears broke the 3k meet record at the Wake Forest Invitational and reset the program mark, snapping the tape in 9:33.50. Her time bests teammate Caroline Yarbrough's 9:46.76 ran in the season opener on Dec. 2 at the JDL College Kick-off Classic.
It marks the third time Sears has earned a weekly honor from the A-10 as she took home a pair of Performer of the Week distinctions during her stellar cross country campaign.
Davidson returns to the track Saturday, Jan. 27 at the BU Terrier Invitational hosted by Boston University.
