Hollimon Selected A-10 Rookie of the Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Davidson freshman Miles Hollimon was tabbed the Atlantic 10 Men's Track and Field Rookie of the Week, announced by the league Tuesday.
Hollimon snapped the Davidson 60-meter school record not once, but twice Saturday at the Wake Forest Invitational and became the first Wildcat ever to break 7 seconds. Hollimon first broke the record in the prelims of the 60, crossing the line in 7.03 seconds. His final time of 6.98 seconds reset the mark and was good for fifth overall.
Hollimon is the second 'Cat to earn A-10 Rookie of the Week honors this season as Dan Alvarez earned the distinction back on Dec. 5.
Davidson returns to the track Saturday, Jan. 27 at the BU Terrier Invitational hosted by Boston University.
