DAVIDSON, N.C. — After a season-long four-game road trip, the Davidson women's soccer team will finally return home this week to face Winthrop Thursday night and Elon Sunday at Alumni Stadium.

Davidson (1-6, 0-0 A-10) looks to close out its non-conference schedule with a couple wins by playing host to Winthrop (3-2-1) Thursday at 7 p.m. before then finishing out the week with a 2 p.m. Sunday contest against former Southern Conference foe Elon (5-2-1).
The All-Time Series/Last Meetings ...
This will be the seventh meeting against Winthrop, with Davidson having won four of the six meetings in the series that dates back to 2005. The 'Cats last played the Eagles in 2014 at home to start the season, scoring a 2-0 win.
This will be the 23rd meeting for Davidson and Elon, with Davidson holding a 12-10-1 lead in the series that dates back to 1989. The Phoenix have won the past four meetings though, including last year's 2-0 victory on their home field. Two years ago the two teams went to overtime at Alumni Stadium.

Winthrop has seven goals on 65 shots (10.8 per game) ... it has earned 31 corner kicks ... Allie Thomas has a team-high three goals, while Gabi Hull is next with two ... Winthrop has five assists, two of them by Katie Colwick ... between the pipes, Kelly Horan has started all six games ... she has 19 saves and a 0.79 goals against average to go with two shutouts ...
