UMass quickly replied with the equalizer and then took the lead. The duo of Hannah Fisher and Courtney Byler set up a perfectly executed corner to tie the contest once more before coming up short in heartbreaking fashion.
SCOUTING THE MINUTEWOMEN
UMass comes to Davidson with a 4-2 record and two-game win streak. Most recently, the Minutewomen upset then-No. 16 Boston University 2-1 last Sunday, rallying for two second-half goals. Senior Sarah Hawkshaw, who leads the squad with five goals this season, is ranked in the Top 20 nationally in goals per game (.83).
UP NEXT
Davidson will return to the road, facing its first ranked opponent of the season in No. 7 North Carolina in a neutral-site game at Duke next Tuesday.
