Davidson Golf Recognized for Work in Classroom

NORMAN, Okla. – Davidson has been named to the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) All-Academic Team, as recently announced.
"I am very proud of our team and their commitment to academic excellence," said head coach Tim Straub, who is entering his 18th season at the helm of the Wildcats. "They have all done an amazing job of balancing the academic rigors of Davidson College and the time demands of Division I golf."
A total of 187 teams submitted GPAs of 3.00 or higher to earn All-Academic Team recognition, while 39 teams received President's Special Recognition status for having team GPAs of 3.5 or better.
To be eligible for GCAA All-Academic Team honors a college or university must submit the GPAs for each player on its official squad list for the academic year.
