ABCA Full Release
Perfect Game Release
GREENSBORO, N.C. and PERFECTGAME.COM -- Davidson senior Will Robertson's resume continues to grow in the postseason accolades department, after the right fielder was named to the ABCA/Rawlings Atlantic All-Region First Team, and earned his third All-American distinction of the season after being named to the Perfect Game/Rawlings All-American Honorable Mention squad, both announced Wednesday afternoon. He is the only member of the Atlantic 10 Conference to be named to either team, and one of just six players from a Group of Five school on the Perfect Game list.
Robertson, who was named one of five finalists for the Gregg Olson Breakout Player of the Year Tuesday, was named a Baseball America Second Team All-American and Collegiate Baseball Third Team All-American earlier this month. Earlier this season, he was deemed Atlantic 10 Player of the Week twice and also named a National Player of the Week, becoming the most decorated Wildcat of all-time.
The Greenville, S.C., native finished his Wildcat career with a 56-game reached base streak, the longest in school history. He turned in hitting streaks of 16 and 20 games each this season, and finished the year atop the team in nearly every offensive category. His 18 home runs set a new program best for a single season, where he also ranks first in school history in single season extra-base hits (39) and single-season total bases (163).
Robertson leaves Davidson as a member of the winningest class in school history, as well as an Atlantic 10 First Team and All-Academic team selection. His outstanding play helped catapult the Wildcats into a Cinderella run, where they captured the program's first title in a 115-year existence, and went on to win the Chapel Hill Regional in their first NCAA appearance.
Robertson graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Economics and will begin working for the prosperous Red Ventures company this summer as a data analyst.
