
Davidson Hands Out 2016-17 Team Award Winners

DAVIDSON, N.C. — Davidson College recently announced its team award winners for the 2016-17 athletic season, as all 21 of the teams gave out their individual winners.
Earlier, the athletic department handed out its department winners, with Jack Gibbs (men's basketball) earning the Tommy Peters Award and Elise Lankiewicz (women's swimming & diving) given the Rebecca A. Stimson Award as the top senior male and female student-athletes. The Thomas D. Sparrow Award was awarded to Nate Casey (football), while Emily Franklin (volleyball) earned the Susan K. Roberts Award. The top freshman honor, Helen DeVane Carnegie Award, went to Alexandra Abele (women's tennis).
