DAVIDSON, N.C. – Davidson football is back in action at Richardson Stadium Saturday, April 8 for the annual spring game. Entry is free and set to kickoff at 3 p.m. from Stephen B. Smith Field.
The format for the game will be reminiscent of the last few years with the offense squaring off in white against the defensive unit in black. Points will be awarded based on criteria created by the coaching staff.
Davidson football has partnered with the Patterson Court Council in an effort to spread the message of the "It's On Us" campaign. The campaign is a national effort to stop sexual assault. The Patterson Court Council has led a week long effort across campus to spread the word on the campaign and encourage all students to take the pledge. This has become an effort by the football team following the opportunity to listen to Brenda Tracy and her story back in January.
The campaign will use the spring game as a platform and encourages student-athletes and non-athletes alike to join the team in an effort stop sexual assault. There will be opportunities for spectators to sign the pledge and help stop sexual assault and at halftime a picture will be taken with everyone who has signed the pledge.
