Demake Joins Wildcat W. Soccer Staff, See Promoted

DAVIDSON, N.C. – Head coach Adam Denton today named Stephanie Demake assistant coach for the program, while former Wildcat Madison See was elevated to Director of Operations.
"I am extremely happy to be able to add an assistant coach of Stephanie's experience to our program here at Davidson," said Denton. "She brings exciting knowledge of coaching and recruiting at the division one level and this will continue to add to our program. We are all looking forward to Stephanie getting started this Spring as we prepare for the 2017 Fall Season."
"In addition, we are very fortunate to have Madison as part our staff," added Denton. "Having been a part of the Davidson Soccer team, Madison understands first hand what it takes to be successful as a student-athlete at Davidson and this is invaluable for our current players."
Demake comes to Davidson after a three-year stay at Troy University as the women's soccer assistant.
"To be offered the opportunity to work at such a prestigious academic institution and be challenged in the competitive A-10 Conference is something I'm incredibly excited about," said Demake. "In speaking with the current players, men's and women's coaching staff, I am drawn to the pride in community within Davidson College Athletics. Adam has an excellent reputation in the soccer community and I'mm thrilled to have the opportunity to work alongside him and propel Davidson Women's Soccer to greater heights. Davidson offers such a fantastic student-athlete experience that I'm eager to begin recruiting some of the brightest, hardest working, and most talented players in the country to be a part of our program."
While with the Trojans, they set several school records and had a combined record of 37-20-5. Troy set a school record with 16 victories in 2014, while five players were named All-Sun Belt with three earning first team honors.
Then in 2015, the Trojans again rewrote the program's record book setting numerous individual and team records en route to a 14-4-2 overall record. Defensively, Troy posted a program- and Sun Belt Conference-best 0.63 goals against average and registered 10 shutouts.
Prior to her time with Troy, Demake was an assistant at Stetson in 2013 and served as assistant coach at Ohio University during the 2012-13 seasons. In addition, Demake was an assistant coach at Wheaton College in Massachusetts from 2010-11. With her on staff, the Lyons advanced to the NCAA Tournament Second Round in both 2010 and 2011.
Demake got her start in coaching with the New England Futbol Club, helping to develop youth players aged six to 14 beginning in 2009. She worked with the club program until 2012, when she took the position at Ohio.
A graduate and three-year student-athlete at Worcester State, Demake earned her bachelor's degree in 2010. A captain as a senior, she earned MASCAC All-Conference honors twice and led the Lancers to the MASCAC Championship and the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament in 2007.
Demake played at Hartford during her freshman campaign, helping to lead the Hawks to an America East Championship in 2006.
Demake holds both a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) National Diploma and an NSCAA Advanced National Diploma, as well as a master's degree in coaching education from Ohio University.
Starting her second year as part of the support staff with the program is See, who was a volunteer assistant last year. As Director of Operations, her primary responsibilities will include the monitoring polar heart system and data, travel logistics, equipment, along with assisting with the team's daily practices.
