NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Men's track and field freshman Daniel Alvarez was tabbed the Men's Rookie of the Week, announced by the league office Tuesday.
Alvarez made his collegiate indoor debut in the 800-meter run at the JDL Kick-off Classic Saturday. The Dobson, N.C., native crossed the line in fourth overall, stopping the clock in 1:57.12.
Davidson next takes to the track Saturday, Jan. 20 at the Wake Forest Invite at JDL Fast Track.
