STATS – For the second consecutive week a Wildcat was named a STATS FCS National Player of the Week honorable mention with freshman Wesley Dugger landing on the weekly list for the second time this year.
Following up Charles Morris' Special Teams Player of the Week honorable mention from a week ago, Dugger earned his second Freshman Player of the Week distinction for his efforts against Campbell.
The Henrico, Va., native posted his third 100-yard game of the season, registering 139 yards on 27 carries and found the end zone three times against a stout Campbell defense. The 139 yards and three touchdowns allowed are the most the Camels have given up to a single player all season.
He was previously recognized by STATS on Sept. 4 for his season-high 196-yard performance in the opener against Brevard.
Dugger and his Davidson teammates return to action Saturday, Nov.11 at Richardson Stadium against San Diego.
