Ravitz Claims Final A-10 Defensive Player of the Week Honor

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Senior goalkeeper Becca Ravitz capped off a career year by claiming the Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week for women's soccer, as the league announced the final weekly awards Monday.
It was the Wildcats' first weekly award this year and third since joining the A-10.
Ravitz helped the Wildcats to a pair of shutouts in their final two games of the regular season, playing to scoreless draws against George Washington at home and then at Richmond. She combined for seven saves, getting five of them against Spiders on the road last Sunday.
The senior from Skillman, N.J., set personal bests in nearly every category including shutouts with four and an half. Ravitz started 14 of her 16 games and finished with 64 saves in nearly 1,400 minutes.
For her career, Ravitz started 27 of her 36 games played and stopped 135 shots to go with eight shutouts.
