Ritchie, Carver Earn Weekly A-10 Honors

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Davidson men's cross country landed two Atlantic 10 Performer's of the Week, announced by the league Tuesday.
Senior Ramsay Ritchie was named a Co-Performer of the Week, while freshman Jake Carver was tabbed the Rookie of the Week. The two accolades mark the first weekly honors for the 'Cats this season.
Ritchie earned a spot for his win at the Queen City Invite. The San Francisco, Calif., native stopped the clock first with the third fastest 8k run in program history (24:10), helping lead his team to a second place finish. Carver placed 12th overall, coming home in 25:04, a new best time in his young career.
Davidson returns to the trails at the A-10 Championship on Saturday, Oct. 28 at Oatlands Plantation. Start time from Leesburg, Va. is slated for 10 a.m.
