Lang Finishes Tied for 12th in Fall Opener

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Davidson's Jack Lang posted his second consecutive sub-par round to finish tied for 12th out of 96 competitors at the 2016 Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational Tuesday afternoon.
The two-day/54-hole event was played on the Par 70, 6,345-yard Berry Hills Country Club layout.
Coming off a personal-best 66 in Monday's second round, Lang carded five birdies en route to finishing at even-par 210 (75-66-69).
Junior Spencer Papciak carded the Wildcats' second lowest score today with a three-over 73.
13th Davidson – 305-295-294 = 894 (+54)
T12th Jack Lang – 75-66-69 = 210 (E)
T52nd Mike Blasey – 76-72-75 = 223 (+13)
T72nd Spencer Papciak – 78-78-73 = 229 (+19)

Eastern Kentucky (280-272-281 = 833), which entered with a two-stroke lead, captured the team title by eight shots over Virginia Tech (276-278-287 = 841). The Colonels' Erik Lindwall (69-63-71) claimed individual medalist at seven-under 203.
The Wildcats will enjoy a three-week break before returning to tournament action at the NC State Fall Invitational Oct. 3-4.
