DAVIDSON, N.C. -- The Davidson men's golf team was recognized as a 2016 All-Academic team, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) Wednesday afternoon.
"I am very proud of our golf team and their success in the classroom, said head coach Tim Straub. "They have shown a tremendous ability to manage the rigors and time demands of golf and academics."
The Wildcats were one of 112 Division I teams honored, and one of five Atlantic 10 members to earn the distinction.
To be honored, a team must achieve a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Colleges and universities must submit the GPA for each player on its official squad list for the academic year to be eligible.
Davidson will open the 2016 fall campaign September 11-13 at the Joe Feagnes Marshall Invitational.
