Davidson Announces 2016 Football Schedule

2016 Football Schedule
DAVIDSON, N.C. – Five home games at Richardson Stadium highlight the 2016 Davidson football schedule, head coach Paul Nichols announced Tuesday.
The Wildcats have 11 games on the slate, which features three non-conference opponents, as the 2016 season opens at Georgetown on Saturday, Sept. 3.
Davidson will continue on the road at Kentucky Wesleyan (Sept. 10) a week later, before welcoming Livingstone College on Sept. 17 for the 'Cats home opener at Richardson Stadium.
The Wildcats will then alternate home and away contests for the rest of the season as league play begins on Sept. 24 at Valparaiso.
In October, Davidson hosts Stetson (Oct. 1), Butler (Oct. 15) and Jacksonville (Oct. 29), while traveling to San Diego (Oct. 8) and Marist (Oct. 22). Davidson's annual Homecoming game is scheduled for the first weekend in October against Stetson, while Family Weekend is set for Oct. 29 against Jacksonville.
The month of November will start with a road trip for the Wildcats when they face Campbell on Nov. 5. After a week off, Davidson will conclude the regular season at home with Morehead State on Nov. 19.
