Wildcats' Season Ends With 3-0 Setback to Rhode Island
DAVIDSON, N.C. – Looking to send their seniors off on a winning note, the Davidson women's soccer team fell short as the Rhode Island Rams spoiled senior day for the 'Cats with a 3-0 win Sunday afternoon at Alumni Stadium in Atlantic 10 play.
The Wildcats conclude the 2016 season with a 5-13-1 overall record and 1-8-1 in A-10 play. URI moved to 6-7-5 overall and 3-4-3 in league action, keeping their chances alive in advancing to the A-10 Tournament.

• This was the fourth all-time meeting, dating back to 1994, between both school's women's soccer programs.
• The Rams won their first game in the series, with Davidson now holding a 2-1-1 record all-time.
• The Wildcats wrapped up their home schedule with a 4-5-1 record this year.
• Prior to the start of the game, seniors Maggie Boyd, Ashley Finke, Kate Joss and Adelaide Cummings were honored for their four-year careers at Davidson.
• Nicole Brennan paced the URI offense with a goal and an assist, as she scored the first goal of the game at 24:07 off a deflection save from Davidson's goalkeeper on a shot.
