Golf Continues Fall at Bridgestone Collegiate

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- After nearly three weeks away from tournament action, Davidson resumed its 2016 fall slate Sunday at the Bridgestone Golf Collegiate hosted by UNCG.
The two-day / 54-hole event is being played on the Grandover Resort's West Course.
After carding a 312 in the morning, Davidson fired a two-under 286 in round two, paced by senior Andy Simmons' 68 (-4).
Hoke Carlton and Michael Freeman were also solid for the Wildcats in the afternoon session with even-par 72s. Mike Blasey, who is competing as an individual for Davidson, also shot 72 on his second 18.

Duke, one of four nationally-ranked programs in the field, holds the top spot on the team leaderboard at 550 (-26), seven shots over Northwestern (557).
In addition, the Blue Devils' Chandler Eaton (71-65 = 136 / -8), Georgia State's Nick Budd (67-69 = 136) and Ruben Sondjaja (70-66 = 136) of Iowa State lead the 84-player field by one shot.
Tomorrow's third and final round will begin at 8:30 a.m.
