PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Four Davidson wrestlers registered a win as the Wildcats competed at the 2016 Pitt Duals at the Fitzgerald Field House Saturday.
Davidson fell to Franklin & Marshall, No. 20 Pittsburgh and Hofstra.
Nathaniel Powers put Davidson on the board against Franklin & Marshall. The senior earned a hard fought, 3-2, battle over Josh Young at 174 pounds. At 197, Michael Moore posted a decision over Jack Argast, 4-2.
Against No. 20 Pitt, freshman Tony Palumbo posted a decision at 157 pounds. Palumbo earned a sudden victory decision over Nathan Russell.
Dustin Runzo picked up a win against Hofstra. Runzo earned an 8-0 major decision over Marcus Begay.
The Wildcats return to action Jan. 17 for their home opener against Anderson.
