Records Fall at Terrier Classic

BOSTON, Mass. - Patrick Rollo and Will Brewster each set a new program record, while Daniel Samet ran a personal best against a competitive field at the Terrier Classic hosted by Boston University Saturday.
Rollo got things started for the Wildcats, competing in the 1,000-meter. The senior clocked a 2.29.48 to take 17th-place overall among a competitive field.
Rollo now owns program records in the 500, 800, 1,000 and the 4x400 and 4x800 relays.
In the 3,000-meter event, Brewster set a new record after taking 25th overall. The junior stopped the clock in 8:12.98, a mere .04 seconds faster than the previous record held by Demetrios Pagnois.
Samet set a new personal best in the 5,000-meter as the senior crossed the line in 14:42.30 to finish 24th overall.
The Wildcats return to action at the High Point Team Challenge Feb. 11.
