Phillips Named A-10 Cross Country Performer of the Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Senior Ryan Phillips has been named the Atlantic 10 Men's Cross Country Performer of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.
In the opening meet of the 2015 season, Phillips paced Davidson to a first-place finish at the Richmond Invitational. The Ridgewood, N.J., native finished the 5K course 5.9 seconds ahead of Richmond's Tim Gruber with the time of 15:05.9 to claim the title.
Davidson returns to action Sept. 19, with a trip to Nashville, Tenn., to compete at the Commodore Classic.
