Wildcat Lacrosse Earns IWLCA Academic Honors

DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Davidson women's lacrosse team earned a spot on the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Academic Honor Squad for 2015 as announced recently by the IWLCA.
It marks the fifth straight year dating back to 2011 the Wildcats have earned the team academic honor. The IWLCA recognized 84 schools for the second year in a row in Division I as earning IWLCA Division I Academic Honor squad accolades for the 2015 season. Every school with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher earned the honor.

Davidson finished the 2015 season with a 6-10 overall record and went 3-5 in its first year in the Atlantic 10. The Wildcats return 20 letterwinners, including nine starters from a year ago, and weclome six newcomers for the 2016 campaign. Leading the way will be team captains senior Emma Sissman and Holly Thomas, and junior Nicole Pettiglio.
