Sargent Voted to Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – David Sargent of the Davidson men's golf team has been voted to the Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team, as announced by the league office Tuesday afternoon.
A junior from nearby Cornelius, N.C., Sargent carries a 3.380 grade point average while majoring in mathematics.
On the course, Sargent capped the 2014-15 season with a fifth-place finish at the Atlantic 10 Golf Championship at one-under 215 (72-71-72), earning him a spot on the all-conference squad. In addition to it being his lowest career finish, Sargent was just one of eight competitors under par.
A three-year starter, Sargent finished the year second on the team with a 74.75 stroke average, which included eight rounds of par or better.
The Wildcats, who finished third at the 2015 A-10 Championship, concluded their season with a pair of Top-5 finishes and four Top-10s.
