'CATS CLINCH NO. 4 SEED
• Davidson and VCU finished tied at 14-10 in Atlantic 10 play. The Wildcats earned the fourth-seed after the conference tie-breaking procedure. Both teams finished with 10-8 records against common opponents, but Davidson's win over Saint Louis broke the tie. Top-seeded Saint Louis will await the winner of Davidson and VCU on Thursday at 1:30 p.m.
THE WILDCATS
• The Wildcats enter their first-ever A-10 Championship with an overall record of 26-20 and 14-10 in the conference.
• This past weekend was crucial for Davidson as it took the final A-10 series away from No. 3-seed Richmond. The Wildcats edged the Spiders 4-3 in game one, before downing Richmond 22-7 in game two.
• Outfielder Lee Miller leads the team with a .368 batting average with 33 runs, 68 hits and 51 RBI in 185 at bats. Miller is ranked in the top five in seven A-10 categories. Three other Wildcats are batting above .300 in the Davidson line up.
• On the mound, RHP Ryan Lowe leads the team with a 3.59 ERA in 47.2 innings pitched, while RHP Clark Beeker has pitched a team-high 90.1 innings and leads the league with 32 batters struck out looking.
• Davidson has won three of its last four games and has hit a homerun in six-straight contests.

• This past weekend VCU clinched the No. 5 seed with a three-game sweep over the St. Bonaventure Bonnies. The Rams outscored the Bonnies, 30-4, with two runs being allowed in games one and three.
• Infielder Vimael Machin leads the team with a .335 batting average with 31 runs, 72 hits and 46 RBI in 215 at bats. Three other Rams are batting over .300 in the VCU line up.
• On the mound, LHP Heath Dwyer leads the team with a 2.90 ERA in 77.2 innings pitched, while LHP JoJo Howie has pitched a team-high 88.2 innings and has a 3.25 ERA.
