
Osment Named Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Erin Osment of the Davidson women's track and field team has been named Atlantic 10 Women's Track and Field Co-Performer of the Week, the league announced Monday.
The Atlanta, Ga., native raced to a first-place finish in the 3,000-meter run at the Carolina Cup hosted by Winthrop University, April 22. Osment, who set a new mark in the 5,000-meter run a week ago, crossed in 9:44.58 to break her previous school record of 9:59.91, set at the 2014 Carolina Cup. The senior finished 15 seconds before the next finisher.
Osment now holds the school record in the indoor 3K and 5K and the outdoor 3K, 5K and 10K.
Osment shares the award with George Mason's Michelle Wallerstedt.
Davidson will return to action this weekend as the Wildcats travel to Fairfax, Va., to compete in their inaugural Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championships.
