Davidson Completes First Day at Princeton, Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C./PRINCETON, N.J. – Whitner Chase and Daniel Samet competed in the 10,000-meter run at the 2015 Larry Ellis Invitational hosted by Princeton University, while several Davidson men's track and field team members competed at the Charlotte Invitational Friday.
At the 2015 Larry Ellis Invitational, hosted by Princeton University, Davidson's Whitner Chase and Daniel Samet had strong showings in the lengthy 10,000-meter run. Chase crossed the line in 30:57.44 to finish ninth, while Samet wasn't far behind as the junior clocked a 31:13.13 to take 11th place overall. Walker Mogen clocked a 14:20.84 in the 5,000-meter run to take 12th place.
At Charlotte, Davidson showcased its depth in the 1,500 meter run, taking four of the top five spots. Ryan Phillips paced the pack, running 3:55.28 to take first place. Freshman Ian Roberston wasn't far behind, clocking a 3:55.43 to take second. Ramsay Ritchie (3:56.70) and Sal del Giudice (3:57.42) took fourth and fifth respectively.
Aaron Forburger posted a fourth-place finish in the 3,000 meter steeplechase. He finished in 9:31.28.
