KANNAPOLIS, N.C. – David Sargent and Spencer Papciak each posted rounds of two-over 73 to pace the Davidson men's golf team on the final day of the 2015 Irish Creek Collegiate hosted by the Wildcats and their cross-county rival Charlotte.
The two-day 54-hole event was played on the Par 71, 7,099-yard Irish Creek layout.
In addition to the co-hosts, the 15-team field features Akron, Appalachian State, East Carolina, Georgia State, Kennesaw State, McNeese State, UNCG, UNCW, North Florida, Richmond, South Florida, Tulsa and VCU.
Papciak, who competed as an individual, led the Wildcats with a 221 (+8) and 38th place finish.
As a team, Davidson (298-305-301=904) was five-under early in the round before settling for a 301 to climb one spot up the team leaderboard.
Up next, the Wildcats will take part in their first-ever Atlantic 10 Championship April 24-26 in Orlando, Fla.
