Wildcats Fall At Fordham, Rams Take Weekend Series

BRONX, N.Y. – The Davidson baseball team fell to the Fordham Rams, 6-2, in the final game of the weekend series Sunday afternoon at Houlihan Park.
The loss drops Davidson to 15-15 overall and 5-7 in the league, while Fordham improved to 12-21 and 4-5 in the A-10.
The Rams scored the first five runs on four hits in the first four innings, which eventually secured the contest. The Wildcats outhit Fordham, 7-5, while they committed two errors.
Right fielder Mark Donadio went 4-for-4 for the second-straight day and picked up two RBI to lead both teams. Right fielder Lee Miller and center fielder Ty Middlebrooks both picked up a homerun to lead Davidson.
On the mound, RHP Ben Greenberg pitched all nine innings for the Rams and held the 'Cats to just two runs off seven hits and recorded four strikeouts. Four Wildcats threw for Davidson with RHP and designated hitter Ryan Lowe starting the first four innings, allowing five runs off four hits with two strikeouts for the loss.
Davidson will continue on the road Tuesday, April 14 when it faces Wake Forest at 6:30 p.m.
