Phillips, Ritchie Lead Davidson at Winthrop Invitational

ROCK HILL, S.C. – The Davidson men's track and field team competed with the area's finest at the 2015 Winthrop Adidas Track & Field Invitational Saturday at the Irwin Belk Track Complex.
Ryan Phillips and Ramsay Ritchie went 1-2 in the 1,500-meter event. Phillips crossed the line in 3:58.73 just ahead of Ritchie who clocked a 4:00.00.
Aaron Forburger claimed fourth place in the 3,000-meter steeple with a time of 9:59.36.
Charles Rappe took 10th in the 400-meter hurdles running 57.49
Ritchie also posted a top-15 finish in the 800-meter event. The freshman ran a 2:00.48 to take 12th place. Phillips (2:01.373) and Corson (2:01.376) finished close behind in 16th and 17th respectively.
In the field events, Xzavier Killings finished seventh in the long jump with a jump of 6.65 meters. Jonathan Campbell took fifth in the javelin with a toss of 49.35m.
