'Cats Close Out Fall With Red & Black World Series

DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Davidson baseball team will conclude its fall season by hosting the annual Red and Black World Series, a three-game intra-squad scrimmage starting Friday at Wilson Field.
First pitch is scheduled for 5:15 p.m. Friday evening and the weekend will continue with a 5:15 p.m. start on Saturday. The final game of the series will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
The Davidson coaching staff selected a team captain for each squad. Junior Jake Sidwell was picked to lead the Black team, while senior Aaron Tovsky was selected to captain the Red squad.
The two captains held a mock draft, selecting Wildcat players to each team. Both teams are listed below.
Following Saturday's matchup, the team will host its annual Baseball Family Weekend dinner and is expecting over 100 parents, siblings and relatives to be in attendance.
