Strong Showing for Davidson at Wake Forest Invitational

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Senior Daniel Samet led the way, as the Davidson men's cross country team had a strong showing at the Wake Forest Invitational Friday afternoon.
The Wildcats raced to an eighth place finish overall against a competitive field that featured Atlantic 10 rival George Mason. The Patriots claimed first place.
Samet ran a strong race en route to a 41st place finish with a time of 25:55.70. Will Brewster wasn't far behind, clocking a 25:57.28 to rank 43rd. Freshman Dylan Carmack was the next Wildcat to finish, covering the course in 26:12.55 to take 54th.
Sophomore Ramsay Ritchie and Aaron Forburger rounded out the scoring contingency for Davidson. Ritchie posted a time of 26:21.89 to take 62nd, while Forburger finished in 26:47.01 to place 82nd overall.
The Wildcats will compete next at the 2015 Atlantic 10 Cross Country Championships held at the University of Richmond, Oct. 31.
