JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – In the first competition of the new year, the Davidson men's track and field team had a strong showing at the Johnson City Indoor Classic hosted by East Tennessee State.
Whitner Chase claimed victory in the 5,000 meter run. The senior was the first to cross the line in a time of 14:56.53. Teammate Daniel Samet wasn't far behind with a time of 15:02.08 to rank third.
Patrick Rollo finished the 800-meter run in 1:55.26, just two-tenths of a second out behind first-place finisher Thomas Miller of East. Tennessee State.
