Davidson, N.C. – Freshman Hannah Fisher scored the first goal of her collegiate career, but it was not enough for the Wildcats as Georgetown outlasted Davidson, 3-1 Saturday afternoon at Belk Turf Field.

Georgetown, which outshot Davidson 13-10 on the day, scored first just over 12 minutes in the game. Megan Parsons fed the ball to Aliyah Graves-Brown who took the ball off a dribble and slipped it past Emily Leytham to put the Hoyas on the board.

Georgetown padded its lead just under five minutes later off a penalty corner. Louis Chakejian passed the ball to Graves-Brown who fired a shot towards the net. Chakejian redirected the ball past Leytham to give the Hoyas a two goal advantage.

Fisher put the Wildcats on the board midway through the first frame to cut the deficit to one. Melissa Funsten rocketed a shot from the top of the circle that touched the stick of Anna Davis before Fisher put it away.

After a fair amount of back-and-forth play between the two squads, Georgetown struck again. Delvin Holmes fired a shot towards Leytham and Megan Parsons tapped it into the back of the cage.

Leytham finished the day with six saves. Davidson finished the game with 10 shots and six penalty corners. Georgetown's Rachel Skonecki finished two saves.
